WINE AND FOOD
The Adriatic Sea is one of the richest areas for fishing, history and culture: the sailors who navigated its waters have been able to treasure the opportunities hidden in its depths. It is no coincidence that fish is the dominant element in the gastronomic traditions of the Marche Region. Fish Soups like “brodetto alla marinara”, succulent shellfish (especially clams and mussels, but also sea-snails and 'garagoi'), cuttlefish and “trufelli”, mackerels and cods, soles from the Adriatic Sea and mantis-shrimps: there are many seafood specialties, fried, grilled, baked, crusted and even salted, all to be enjoyed. In the Marche Region, every flavour has its wine: 20 DOC and 5 DOCG wines match perfectly with the creations of the local cuisine.
